Physician Scheduling Coordinator

The Physician Scheduling Clerk plays a pivotal role at Kaiser Permanente, ensuring the seamless operation of medical office schedules, hospital call rotations, and special procedure assignments for various departments. With a strong background in computer literacy and experience with computerized appointment systems, this individual will coordinate physician and physician-extender schedules, initiate and prepare monthly provider schedules, and distribute them accordingly.
This is a highly organized and detail-oriented position that requires adaptability to constant schedule changes and modification of provider schedules. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to perform multiple tasks in a heavy workload environment, and have a general knowledge of organizational procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accurate and timely schedules for physicians and physician-extenders
- Coordinating departmental master schedule changes
- Distributing provider master schedules to relevant personnel
- Entering and updating data into the Regional CARE System program
- Computing worked hours and non-worked physician hours
- Preparing bi-monthly payroll reports for physicians
- Monitoring and controlling physician overtime
The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining physician and physician-extender profiles, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of records, and collecting and distributing statistical data as required.
