About the Role
This is a vital role that assists the hospital in the nursing care of patients and performs special technical skills/treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. To perform this job successfully, you'll need to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- None required, but hospital experience is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required upon hire
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care with direct supervision of the registered nurse
- Performs clinical job duties as outlined by departmental competency
- Supports nursing and hospital administration by accepting established objectives, policies, and procedures
- Accurately documents patient-related tasks
- Maintains professional knowledge and required certifications through growth and development
Work Environment
This role requires working in a patient care area, exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue, and potential risk for communicable diseases. It's essential to maintain a professional demeanor and adapt to the specific patient population.
