Job Title: Store Associate

This role is crucial to the success of our retail stores. As a Store Associate, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions to meet their requirements. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service while consistently meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting relevant products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications, providing expert advice on product usage.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean and maintain store equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Assist with deliveries as needed, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Remain knowledgeable about products offered, discussing available options with customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Suggest ways to improve sales, contributing to the store's success.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
