As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a pivotal role in examining tissues, bodily fluids, and organs to diagnose diseases, providing critical information for patient care and treatment planning.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive tissue analysis using microscopy and advanced laboratory techniques.
  • Conduct autopsies to determine the cause of death.
  • Develop and implement a range of tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens to identify abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with physicians in various specialties to ensure accurate diagnosis and develop effective treatment plans for patients.
  • Communicate pathology findings clearly and concisely in written reports.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in diagnostic techniques and pathology research.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the pathology department.
  • May participate in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.

Qualifications:

  • M.D. degree (Doctor of Medicine) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (ABP) or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in anatomic and/or clinical pathology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).

Additional Skills (desirable):

  • Fellowship training in a specific area of pathology.
  • Experience with digital pathology tools.
  • Research experience and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
