Job Summary

This position is located in the Office of Tribal Programs, Alaska Area Native Health Service and serves as the Contract Proposal Liaison Officer for Title I Self-Determination Contracting in the Alaska Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiates contract proposals and provides advice and guidance as an administrator, advisor, and negotiator for Title I contracts and accompanying Annual Funding Agreements (AFAs).
  • Implements aspects of the negotiated annual funding agreements (AFAs) with Title I contracting for Tribes or Tribal Organizations in AK.
  • Serves as an administration, advisor, and negotiator for Title I contracts and accompanying AFAs.
Requirements
  • At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: negotiates contract proposals and provides advice and guidance as an administrator, advisor, and negotiator for Title I contracts and accompanying AFAs.
  • Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
