Job Summary

St. Catherine's Center for Children is seeking a skilled Clinician to join our Family Opportunity Center team. As a key member of our team, you will deliver key program services and coordinate family center operations. This is a crucial role in our family engagement team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, and supporting services to families with behavioral health concerns.
  • Perform essential needs and protective factor assessments and screenings, leading to on-site support or linkage to other community-based services.
  • Screen families, identifying factors impacting their physical and mental well-being, and assist them in breaking down barriers to social determinants.
  • Meet families where they are, engaging and supporting them in behavioral health counseling, ancillary services, and connecting with them in impactful ways.
  • Understand and implement the program's emphasis on behavioral health support, leading the charge in orienting program services towards that end.
  • Cross-train and provide back-up support for the family engagement specialist role, ensuring solid program functioning and a service delivery structure that meets timelines and expectations.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Human Services or related field, preferred.
  • Candidates with less advanced degrees and lived experience will be considered.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with at-risk families and in community services, preferred.
  • Familiarity with wraparound services and implementation in a family-centered system of care, preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of mental health, juvenile justice, and child welfare prevention programming.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Business Workspace Suite.
