Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for supporting payroll/project implementation, production activities, and enhancement assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and Document Business Requirements: Perform fit-gap analysis, establish priorities and timelines, and develop functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT Resources and Business Units: Test and validate data, provide functional expertise during design phase, and configure, test, and upgrade applications.
  • Define and Develop Test Plans: Execute test plans and scripts for implementation of new functionality or modified functionality.
  • Lead Design and Implementation: Design interfaces, data conversions, and customizations, manage testing phases, and resolve project issues.
  • Support Business Operations: Partner with Payroll to support business operations, resolve user inquiries, and modify or develop new queries and reports.
  • Analyze and Prepare Payroll Data: Prepare payroll and application data in effective and clear formats for use by management and staff.
  • Communicate System Changes: Communicate and educate users on system changes and new functionality, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Create Training Materials: Create payroll/application training materials and deliver training to end users, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3-5 Years of Experience: Required, in relevant experience.
  • Strong Analytical/Excel Skills: Preferred, with experience in VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.
  • Prior Experience with HR Management Software: Preferred.
