Business Risk and Controls Manager

The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly skilled Manager of Business Risk and Controls to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you'll be responsible for managing a team of Business Controls Specialists who provide centralized operational support through internal process review, quality audits, and testing. Your goal will be to ensure operational risks are identified and controls are working effectively.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and analytical skills. You'll work closely with our business stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop and implement effective controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
We offer a flexible work environment that allows for remote work and occasional business travel. This position can be based in one of our locations across the country, including San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks
- Manage a team of Business Controls Specialists to provide centralized operational support
- Conduct internal process reviews, quality audits, and testing to ensure controls are working effectively
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
- Develop and implement effective controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members to facilitate professional development
- Evaluate individual training needs and promote the development of effective team relationships
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience
- 6 or more years of operations, process experience, quality assurance or quality improvement
- 2 or more years of leadership experience
- Advanced knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, and regulatory data sources
- Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations, and applicable guidance to area supported
We offer a competitive salary range of $99,160 - $178,480, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k), pension, life insurance, parental benefits, adoption assistance, paid time off, and various wellness programs.
