About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in West Dundee, Illinois. This is an ongoing role with a shift of evenings and 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the optimal imaging technique and patient position using advanced devices to ensure high-quality images.
  • Operate state-of-the-art CT scan equipment, HIS/RIS, and PACS systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain a 'Service First' approach.
  • Contribute to image quality activities and participate in departmental committees.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by identifying potential hazards.

Education and Experience Required:

  • A graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Strong understanding of child development, adolescent behavior, and aging patterns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and perform complex procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Leadership abilities and good judgment.
  • Licensed Radiographic Technologist by IEMA.
  • CPR certification and ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certified.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged exposure to radiation.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and communicate effectively.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of heavier items.
