Job Summary

This full-time position involves working under general supervision to assist oncology patients, families, and caregivers in overcoming various healthcare barriers. You will conduct ongoing assessments of need and facilitate referrals throughout the Oncology continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and document patient health status on admission, considering age-specific considerations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
  • Develop an appropriate plan of care for each patient, utilizing critical thinking skills in planning and prioritizing oncology-nursing care.
  • Implement nursing interventions based on health status data, collaborating with other team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Evaluate implemented interventions and modify care according to evaluation results.
  • Provide timely patient education to patients and their families, ensuring effective communication across all age groups.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
  • 1 year Nursing experience.
  • Current Texas (or BNE Compact State) nursing license.
  • (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Certification course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
