Job Title: Dental Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Support Professional to join our team at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. As a valued member of our staff, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $46,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical insurance, employer-paid dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement savings plan, flexible spending accounts for transit, parking, health, and dependent care, paid time off (28 days for the first year of employment), an Employee Assistance Program, tuition reimbursement for eligible employees, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program eligibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists, hygienists, receptionists, dental managers, and other members of the dental staff in their daily tasks.
- Provide basic oral health education to patients and community groups, promoting good oral hygiene practices and overall wellness.
- Serve as a chair-side assistant to the dentist, utilizing accepted four-handed dental techniques to ensure precision and accuracy in patient care.
- Utilize accepted dental radiographic techniques to produce diagnostic radiographs, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Apply accepted dental sterilization techniques to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff alike.
- Assist receptionists in managing front desk operations, ensuring seamless communication and customer service.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, collaborating with dental staff on ordering, distribution, and storage.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining dental records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in teaching new employees their assigned duties, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Contribute to oral health education activities at community agencies, fostering partnerships and advancing community outreach initiatives.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience as a dental assistant is essential, with certification preferred.
- Basic CPR (BCLS) Certificate is mandatory; medical or dental assistant training is also beneficial.
- Bilingual skills in English/Chinese or English/Spanish are highly valued but not essential.
