Resident Nurse Position

The Resident Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a preceptor. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, collecting and documenting their current health status and medical history, and making accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status.
Essential Functions:
• Assesses the patient by collecting and documenting the patient's current health status and medical history.
• Plans and implements nursing care by setting priorities for nursing action in a logical sequence according to patient needs and formulating a plan of care by the appropriate selection of Nurse Practice Standards.
• Evaluates patient care by performing ongoing assessment and revising the plan of care based on new data and patient condition.
Requirements:
• RN required
• Washington State RN License required
• AHA (American Heart Association) Health Care Provider BLS required
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.
