Tanium Engineer Job Description

Bucher & Christian Consulting, Inc. dba BCforward (BCF) is seeking a highly skilled Tanium Engineer to join our team. As a Tanium Engineer, you will be responsible for managing Tanium clients on all supported Windows, macOS, Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, operationalize, and maintain Tanium clients on diverse operating systems.
  • Upgrade platform servers and modules according to documented upgrade paths.
  • Orchestrate patch automation and vulnerability scanning to improve overall patch compliance and reduce endpoint exposures.
  • Perform configuration compliance assessments to promote endpoint standardization, aligning with industry standards and security best practices.
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide software management and distribution services through scheduled software deployments and specialized package content delivery via action deployments.
  • Perform asset inventory and discovery to maintain governance and compliance with regulatory commitments and security frameworks.
  • Support threat analysis teams monitoring endpoints for Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and conduct quarantine operations on compromised, non-compliant endpoints to reduce organization's attack vectors.
  • Develop automated workflows through Tanium's Rest API to increase efficiency in platform delivery and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on Tanium experience in cleared and commercial enterprises.
  • Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems.
  • Ability to design and implement enterprise-wide software management and distribution services.
  • Experience with patch automation and vulnerability scanning.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and security best practices.
