Concrete Carpenter Foreman Job Summary

At Steed Global, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Concrete Carpenter Foreman to lead our carpentry team in the execution of commercial concrete projects. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Lead the carpentry crew in the construction and installation of formwork for concrete pours, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train site personnel, including apprentices and skilled workers, cultivating a team-oriented culture focused on high performance and safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures, inspecting work to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Safety Management: Champion safety practices and regulations on-site, conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and training to promote a safe working environment.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage daily work schedules for the carpentry team, coordinating with other trades to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Material Management: Order and track materials needed for carpentry work, ensuring proper handling, storage, and efficient use of resources.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients on-site, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns or questions as they arise.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve carpentry-related challenges, ensuring smooth and efficient project execution.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in carpentry, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and leading teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe construction site.
