Director of Special Education and Compliance Specialist

Ombudsman Educational Services, a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Special Education to join our team. This dynamic role will enable you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse needs.
About the RoleWe are committed to providing innovative education solutions that empower students to overcome challenges and unlock their full potential. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor the development and implementation of student IEPs, including Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), to ensure adherence to company and all State and Federal laws and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective public relations with parents, caregivers, and district personnel, promoting a positive company image.
- Audit Special Education Case Managers to guarantee quality assurance of the overall IEP process, special education policies, and procedures, as well as compliance checklists for state monitoring.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Master's degree or higher in education, special education, or a closely related field.
- All necessary state and district requirements for licensing and/or credentials, including active certification and/or licensure in educational leadership, school administration, or related credential.
- Active certification and/or licensure in special education.

The ideal candidate will also have advanced oral and written communication abilities, conflict resolution skills, and experience working with students with individual education plans (IEPs).
