Critical Care Physician for Acute Care Sites

We are seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care physician to work occasional shifts at our practice at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. as an Intensivist.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will provide critical care services at Acute Care sites, responsible for history and physical exams for patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. They will round on assigned critical care patients and be compliant with all facility and Adfinitas quality initiatives. Additionally, they will partner with and oversee Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) codes and Rapid Response Team evaluations.

Requirements
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine
- Strong critical care skill set
- Ability to manage ventilators
- Proficient in central line placement
- Intubation skills
- Quality-focused team player
- Experience working with advanced practice providers
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
- Active state license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, state Controlled Substance Registration
