**Job Description**

">

We're seeking a skilled Sonographer specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine to join our team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO. As a Sonographer in this role, you'll perform diagnostic imaging procedures, educate patients, and monitor their condition to ensure safety and quality of care.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment, requiring critical thinking and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality patient care. Our ideal candidate holds certifications as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and is skilled in performing quality control procedures on ultrasound equipment.

**Responsibilities:**

">
  • ">
  • Review patient history, physician's orders, and schedule exams">
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation">
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice">
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate">
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters">
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment">
  • Analyze results and identify issues with image quality">
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary">
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures">
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results">
  • May work with Radiology students">

**Requirements:**

  • ">
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program">
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)">
  • Certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)">
  • State licensure if required by law">
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification">
