Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cobble Hill ED, Night Shift. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a healing, humane, and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision-making related to the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established NYU Langone Health Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
  • Formulate the initial plan of care with the provider and collaborate with them to implement a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Prioritize care based on data collected and document assessment and reassessment in medical records.
  • Implement interventions in the coordination of patient care in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner and apply escalation process.
  • Educate the patient/family regarding health status and established plan of care, and determine learning needs of the patient/family.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to modify expected outcomes and document learning outcomes of patient/family and revise education plan.
  • Evaluate the patient's progress towards expected outcomes and involve the patient/family and interdisciplinary team in the evaluation process.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
