Job Title: Senior Apparel Buyer

Shop LC is seeking a Senior Apparel Buyer to lead product categories and execute our merchandising vision and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multiple categories of buying, experience in Apparel and Accessories products, and a good supplier base in the domestic market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct trend research to interpret fashion trends and lifestyles for the design and launch of market-ready Apparels and accessories.
  • Partner with internal teams to schedule and plan merchandise, manage retail mark-ups, and ensure on-time merchandise delivery.
  • Source vendors for the appropriate items and work closely with buying teams to purchase items in good time for delivery during peak popularity periods.
  • Analyze past sales figures and trends to anticipate future product needs.
  • Merchandise and source products with better prices to beat competitors and other retailers.
  • Develop new products under our private label brands, looking for ways to expand into products and categories.
  • Manage OTB and source domestic vendors to manage drop-ship programs.
  • Show creativity and resourcefulness to come up with solutions to issues that may arise during the development process.
  • Travel frequently to overseas locations for sourcing.
Requirements:
  • Strong multi-unit buying background with experience in fashion/lifestyle product sourcing and buying.
  • Natural ability to make things happen around you, managing project ambiguity, complexity, and obstacles in an organized and structured way.
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests.
  • Ability to work in a low-cost, high-output 24/7 work environment, keeping the customer first and foremost.
  • A positive and professional attitude with a team-player outlook and an outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment, think critically, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Strong team interpersonal skills and experience interacting with vendors.
  • Track record of success in creating a profitable merchandise mix using forecasting, inventory management, and assortment planning.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally with a valid passport.
