Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Capital Projects Manager to lead and manage capital projects from inception to completion in Henrico County, Virginia.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position that requires possession of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and five years of experience in OR facility planning, design, and construction. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including transportation, drainage, landscape, and lighting projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, engineering design services consultants, and construction contractors to ensure project delivery.
  • Attend public meetings, present information, and answer relevant questions.
  • Coordinate right-of-way / easement acquisition, required project permits, and bidding process for capital projects.
  • Plan projects and prepare related designs, estimates, and specifications.
  • Perform research and organize technical material in good report form.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a valid Virginia driver's license and be willing to work overnight snow contractor management and oversight as scheduled during a storm event. A criminal history record check and fingerprinting will be conducted on all persons conditionally offered employment.

Salary and Benefits

The minimum salary for this position is $80,039, and the maximum salary is $147,237. The currency is USD, and the main organization is General Government. This is a permanent full-time position with no specified amount of travel required. Work at home is allowed.
