Service Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team at BIG THUNDER MARINE. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to understand their needs and identify solutions to fulfill those needs.
• Create service orders and estimates, including calculating costs and client payments.
• Verify warranty and service coverage, explaining provisions and exclusions to customers as needed.
• Schedule service while accommodating customer needs and timetables.
• Prepare service orders for technicians, describing symptoms, problems, and causes, as well as recommended repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of watercraft problems and planned corrective action.
• Collect payments due on cash accounts at the time of service completion.
• Send finalized service orders to the accounting department for billing and collections.
• Work closely with fellow advisors and service team members to identify best practices and communicate suggestions for improvement to management.
• Continuously update your skill set by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications.
• Ensure customer satisfaction upon delivery or release of watercraft, arranging immediate service to rectify outstanding issues and following up with customers to confirm timely repairs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education desired.
• 2-4 years' experience in marine service writing, parts, or service technician roles preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs required; experience with DockMaster valued.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Class E driver's license and FL boater's license.
