Nurse Care Specialist Job Summary

This Full-Time Registered Nurse position is part of our Progressive Care Unit team, where you will play a critical role in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care. As a skilled and experienced nurse, you will be responsible for providing competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards, reporting to and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director.

Responsibilities
  • Administer patient care under the direction of a physician, identifying and pursuing expected patient outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs, consulting with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, and/or those at high risk for discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with peers in a clinical operations environment, fostering intra/interdepartmental communication.
  • Synthesize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care, including appropriate physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs, assessing and anticipating discharge needs of individual patients and families.
  • Communicate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care using cultural competency and active listening, developing relationships with patients and their families that promote their ability to advocate for patient and family needs.
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states by the day of clinical care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Possession of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to performing clinical care (training and certification opportunities will be provided).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
