Job Title: Gas Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Gas Engineer to join our team at Tucson Electric Power. As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for performing gas engineering studies and evaluating alternative designs or processes related to facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify or validate all gas materials and/or equipment required on assigned projects.
  • Create and maintain hydraulic models utilizing Synergi Gas for each of the systems statewide.
  • Support and maintain communications equipment for company-specific hardware and applications.
  • Program RF equipment and maintain FCC-compliant hardware.
  • Assure utilization of fuel gas engineering practices and compliance with all Local, State, and Federal laws.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, Communications) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of Gas Utility, Corrosion Engineering, or Communications experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modeling/system analysis, preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of GIS/CAD Systems.
  • Must have knowledge of applicable codes, standards, regulations, and fuel gas engineering practices.
