Echocardiographer - Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Role:
As an Echocardiographer at Baystate Health, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality echocardiographic procedures to diagnose and treat patients with cardiovascular diseases. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely results, enabling our medical team to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiographic diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians for patients.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their cooperation and optimal test results.
- Position patients and select appropriate transducers for optimal imaging.
- Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment and make hard copy images as directed.
- Document test results and complete worksheets accurately and efficiently.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals to obtain complete clinical histories and gather pertinent clinical data.
- Maintain established department policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs and conferences.
Requirements:
- Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Required)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
