Job Overview:
Aerospace Machine & Supply is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer to join our dynamic team in Las Vegas, NV. About the Role:
As a CNC Machinist and Programmer at AMS, you will be tasked with analyzing and interpreting job orders, CAD models, blueprints, and technical specifications to calculate optimal material cutting paths and establish the sequence of machining operations. You will also select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to maximize production efficiency, develop and generate CNC program code using CAM software, and conduct thorough quality control tests and inspections. Your expertise in using CAD models and CAM software, such as MasterCam, will drive the efficient and safe production of high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret job orders, CAD models, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to maximize production efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Develop and generate CNC program code using CAM software to create precise and efficient machining processes.
  • Conduct thorough quality control tests and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have proven experience as a CNC machinist and programmer, ideally within the aerospace or industrial manufacturing sector. You should be proficient in reading and interpreting 2D and 3D blueprints and manufacturing drawings, able to perform physical tasks associated with operating CNC machinery and handling tools, and possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Additionally, you must be capable of conducting and approving first article inspection reports and have experience with various testing and calibration methodologies, including hardness, gauge, and calibration testing.
