Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist with the Defense Health Agency, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients. This position requires a strong foundation in radiologic procedures, equipment operation, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized radiologic procedures, including imaging and fluoroscopy, to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Determine technical requirements for each examination, ensuring adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety protocols.
  • Monitor patients for signs of distress and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination process.
  • Provide on-the-job training for Radiology residents, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Enter patient and examination information into CHCS/AHLTA software, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in radiologic technology
  • Certification in radiologic technology

Working Conditions

This position requires rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is also required.
