Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RN PICC/Vascular Access Associate Nurse Manager to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to enhance patient safety and optimize quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in providing leadership and oversight to the department/unit level.
  • Assume delegated responsibility for oversight of unit operations and professional practice standards.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager with the evaluation of staff and development of standards of care for the unit and patient population.
  • Participate in providing and monitoring staff competencies and actively coach and develop staff.
  • Collaborate with the CNS/Educator to meet the educational needs of the unit(s) and maintain continuity of care related to specific patient-care requirements.
  • Assist with managing the provision of adequate resources, including the equitable distribution of work and matching of assigned provider competency to patient needs.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care protocols, guidelines, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing.
