Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Risk Governance Officer to join our team at Early Warning Services LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a centralized first-line of defense risk management program across multiple business lines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, with experience working in a three-lines of defense program. You will be responsible for building and leading a team of risk professionals, as well as partnering with business leaders to drive risk management ownership and accountability.

This is a hybrid work model position, which means you will have the flexibility to work from home while also having opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in person.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, we are looking for someone who is a strong communicator and influencer, with the ability to build trust and credibility with business partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a centralized first-line of defense risk management program
  • Build and lead a team of risk professionals
  • Partner with business leaders to drive risk management ownership and accountability
  • Work closely with Compliance and other Risk functions to understand and monitor applicable regulations and requirements
  • Lead risk remediation plans and track progress to completion
  • Develop and drive executive-level reporting regarding business risk management activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or other related field of specialty
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial services industry experience; minimum of 7 years of experience within a three-lines of defense program
  • Demonstrated experience working in multiple risk disciplines, including technology, security, product, regulatory and compliance, third-party, reputation, competitive, or other risk categories
  • Demonstrated success leading risk functions in a 3LOD environment
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to lead in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, highly regulated environment
