Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Educator to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a group of children and ensure their overall health, safety, and well-being.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and provide personalized support.
  • Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
  • Provide clear and consistent expectations for children's behavior and recognize their achievements.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain overall professional appearance.
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children and maintaining classroom environment.
  • Infant-Preschool Teachers: 2 years experience in early childhood or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience in child care.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in early childhood or related field required.
