Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Travel Nurses

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in maternal-newborn care to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and gain enriching experiences.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess 2 years of postpartum, antepartum experience, along with a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. Prior travel experience is desirable, but not essential. As a travel nurse with Tact Staff, you will have the chance to explore new locations, challenge yourself professionally, and make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Job Description

This position involves providing safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient care, assessing and evaluating patient needs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process.
    • Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management.
    • Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.
  • Patient Experience:
    • Role models the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care through facilitation of actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.
    • Considers the patient's values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge in all aspects of care.
    • Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.
  • Quality and Safety:
    • Practices safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
    • Demonstrates clinical skills and knowledge crucial to quality and safety in the patient population served.
  • Operations:
    • Performs charge nurse duties as assigned.
    • Coordinates with the Clinical Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Nursing Shift Manager to ensure supplies are appropriately utilized and inventory is sufficient for patient care.
  • Professional Development:
    • Contributes to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, and their families.
    • Advances clinical competence in nursing practice to progress from novice to expert.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • NYS RN License
  • BLS
  • 2 years of postpartum, antepartum experience
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience
  • 1 year travel experience for Travel positions (not required for Per Diem positions)
  • EPIC experience highly preferred
Estimated Salary Range

$105,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
