The Dredge Electrician will be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all electrical equipment aboard the vessel. This includes performing resistance, megger, voltage, and current tests on all electrical equipment, as well as troubleshooting high voltage switch board, MCC, and motor control issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions
  • Attend vessel-related training and periodic training off-site
  • Submit daily and weekly reports to the Chief Engineer and Electrical Superintendent
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in marine machinery and electrical equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid TWIC card and driver's license
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, or push parts or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
