Senior Assistant General Manager Job Description

As a Senior Assistant General Manager at Duffy's Sports Grill, you will play a key role in assisting the General Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating all operations and personnel management. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing operational strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and develop all store-level managers, providing coaching, counseling, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and decision-making.
  • Identify and address problem cost areas, implementing solutions to improve profitability and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Back of House and Front of House staff and managers, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Manage and coordinate Sysco ordering and receiving, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of inventory.
  • Proactively manage Front of House and Back of House labor, ensuring optimal staffing levels and schedules.
  • Develop and implement local store marketing initiatives to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Prepare for and participate in store-level manager meetings, providing updates and insights on operational performance.
  • Create and manage manager schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing labor costs.
  • Involved in coaching, counseling, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Involved in AGM & AM annual reviews, providing feedback and recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Manage and develop all store-level managers, providing coaching, counseling, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Teach Core Beliefs, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional approach to coworkers and customers, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
