Job Overview
A Medical Coding and Charge Entry Specialist is sought by Jefferson Health to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing encounters, making corrections as needed, and ensuring charges are entered, edited, and billed in a timely manner.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CPT and diagnosis codes, ICD-9/10 coding, anatomy, and physiology as it relates to the medical field. They will also possess effective troubleshooting skills to facilitate consultation with multiple team members to address and resolve issues having a potential impact on revenues.

Main Responsibilities
- Review encounters and make corrections as needed in accordance with guidelines
- Input encounters and other source documents received from clinics
- Prepare and analyze reports
- Seek resolution to problems relating to charge entry and ETM edits
- Engage in various charge capture tasks/initiatives to ensure charges are entered, edited, and billed in a timely and efficient manner to maximize revenues

Requirements
- Strong understanding of CPT and diagnosis codes, ICD-9/10 coding, anatomy, and physiology as it relates to the medical field
- Effective troubleshooting skills to facilitate consultation with multiple team members to address and resolve issues having a potential impact on revenues
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Benefits
Jefferson Health offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, they offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
