About the Role:

Granite Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at our residential facility. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorder.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough admission procedures, including paperwork, individual orientation, and monitoring of urinalysis collection.
  • Conduct thorough searches of individuals' belongings upon admission and dispose of any prohibited items properly.
  • Administer and read tuberculosis skin tests.
  • Accurately document nursing assessments, treatment plans, physician orders, progress notes, and other relevant data in patients' charts.
  • Provide direct care to residents, including monitoring for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
  • Develop and implement medically supervised evaluation and withdrawal management plans for individuals served in our Detoxification Unit under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
  • Monitor changes in patients' conditions and maintain a safe and hygienic work environment in accordance with healthcare protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration records and manage medication distribution as ordered by the Medical Director.
  • Provide guidance and direction to technicians on assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with in-house staff and external professionals to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to clients.
  • Identify and refer residents for additional needs that cannot be met by our agency.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and interact with residents in an appropriate manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Hold an active, unrestricted RN license in the state of New Hampshire.
  • Possess current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Pass State of New Hampshire criminal background and driving record checks.
  • Prior experience in detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical detoxification for substance abuse preferred.
  • Knowledge of substance intoxication and withdrawal symptoms, including pharmacological factors.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation where applicable.
  • Physical ability to respond to crisis situations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with American Society of Addiction Medicine placement criteria and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual as it relates to substance-related disorders.
  • Knowledge of Code of Ethics for nurses.
  • Awareness of federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, residents, external professionals, and the general public.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting salary: approximately $30.00 per hour.
