Responsibilities:- Assist clients in receiving services by telephone and in person, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and understanding.
- Engage clients in beneficial activities, promoting their well-being and empowerment.
- Conduct thorough assessments and gather relevant information to inform your work.
- Offer information and support to clients and their families, providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their concerns.
- Establish connections with other agencies and services, ensuring seamless referrals and support.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports, demonstrating your attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Participate in training, supervision, and meetings, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Monitor for signs of child abuse and provide crisis intervention when necessary, prioritizing the safety and well-being of our clients.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Experience working with clients affected by issues such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and parental substance abuse.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to give full attention to clients and understand their needs.
- Awareness of others' reactions and the ability to empathize with clients when they are upset.
- Ability to judge the relative costs and benefits of potential social service and healthcare actions, making informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using a computer for various tasks, including word processing, data entry, and communication.
- Valid driver's license.
