About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Editor/Writer to join our team at the United States Institute of Peace. This is a unique opportunity to work with a renowned organization dedicated to promoting peace and security worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and write engaging content for our website, including analysis pieces, Q&As, blogs, and other article formats.
  • Collaborate with our editorial team to develop and implement an integrated online editorial strategy that showcases our work to a broad audience.
  • Write and edit materials for various platforms, including social media, email newsletters, and print publications.
  • Coordinate with our communications team to maintain a news and events calendar, determine editorial priorities, and organize workflow.
  • Assist in tracking production of USIP.org content and prepare editorial and production reports for our leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, political science, international relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in journalism, political science, or international relations, with a strong understanding of U.S. foreign policy and global trends.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with authors and partners at all levels.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary Range:$99,000 - $102,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
