Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at AmeriPro EMS. As an EMT, you will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring compliance with state EMS rules and regulations, and maintaining ambulance equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care according to company protocols and medical director guidelines.
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are clean and in proper working condition, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Prepare and complete reports, including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, and incident reports.
  • Adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, and guidelines, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty, and represent AmeriPro EMS as an EMS professional.
Requirements
  • EMT-B certification or licensure in good standing, with current NREMT certification if applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS:100; IS:200; IS:800; IS:900).
Working Environment
