Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Engineer to join our team at the Strategic Systems Programs Office. As a key member of our Technical Division, you will play a critical role in leading program management activities and ensuring the successful integration of missile program requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all program management activities to establish and integrate missile program requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the Branch's activities in design, development, and production.
  • Lead team efforts for integration of project life cycle phases on a large-scale DOD government missile development contract.
  • Coordinate facilities planning, logistics planning, and scheduling.
  • Serve as an advisor to agency management on critical acquisition processes.
  • Conduct acquisition planning and determine acquisition strategies for specific program elements.
  • Assess, manage, and eliminate risk related to program cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Establish and communicate objectives and goals to ensure common direction and delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Manage contract strategy and maintain budget control of Program Office budgets.
Requirements
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-3 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Working under applicable portions of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and nuclear weapons safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of the division of responsibilities among Naval Commands and other DoD activities involved in missile issues.
Education

A professional engineering degree from an accredited school of engineering or equivalent experience and education.
