About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Parts Operations Strategy to lead our parts operations strategy through our distribution locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Strategy: Set short and long-term strategy for parts departments across our distribution companies, driving customer service focus and process improvement.
  • Culture and Process Development: Identify, develop, and implement best practices for parts departments across branches, ensuring a cohesive and efficient operation.
  • Performance Measurement and Improvement: Refine KPIs to measure department success, working with individual locations to drive performance and develop employee training paths.
  • Partnership and Growth Initiatives: Represent parts departments in cross-functional growth initiatives, partnering with sales, purchasing, pricing, and service teams.
  • Inventory Management and Compliance: Manage all forms of freight recovery, ensure costs are passed along, and operate as an additional profit opportunity. Establish and maintain parts department bonus programs that align incentives with department growth initiatives.
  • OEM Partnerships and Inventory Control: Develop and maintain relationships with current and future OEMs to ensure partnerships yield long-term success for both parties. Ensure proper inventory control processes are in place and being performed correctly.
  • Audit and Compliance: Responsible for compliance with internal and external audit procedures within the parts operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of parts distribution experience in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to meet business needs.
  • Leadership skills and ability to lead multiple optimization projects without direct supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with parts representatives and convert their needs into actionable initiatives.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
