Facilities Team Member Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic's Lutheran Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in creating a comfortable and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:
• Perform housekeeping duties in patient and public areas to ensure a clean, attractive, and safe environment.
• Empty, clean, and reline waste baskets.
• Perform daily cleaning, high/low dusting, mopping, sweeping, spot cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming.
• Wipe tabletops, phones, TV cords, and doorknobs.
• Replenish room supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers, and hand soap.
• Transport trash from utility rooms and collection spots to pick-up points.
• Assist in cleaning emergency situations that are observed or requested.
• Maintain arrangement of furniture in patient rooms, offices, and lounges.
• Understand the proper use of chemicals, dilution, usage, and measuring.
• Participate in and attend all in-services, become familiar with the employee handbook, and understand policies and procedures.
• Accept and carry out assignments, provide coverage for laundry caregivers, and perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to move/transport items weighing up to 10 pounds (lbs.).
• Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to 10 pounds (lbs.).
• Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.).
• Ability to inspect equipment.
• Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment, and use cleaning products.
• May come into contact with communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
