Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Orthopaedic Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs while providing excellent patient care and radiation protection.
  • Work closely with nurses and doctors to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the OIC team by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a calm and soothing environment for patients.
  • Apply various casts and splints, work efficiently with plaster or fiberglass, and prepare exam rooms with appropriate equipment.
  • Verify patient demographics, screen for possible pregnancy, and interpret doctors' orders.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic procedures, schedule and bill radiologic exams, and perform other duties as assigned.
Performance Standards and Success Indicators
  • Ability to adapt to various clinical care settings, including urgent care, follow-up clinic, sports medicine, and outpatient surgery.
  • Knowledge of protocols for different clinics and doctors, as well as the ability to perform views that correspond to specific pathologies.
  • Ability to manage patient flow, greet patients, and effectively position for visualization of needed anatomy.
  • Must maintain current CRT, CRT FLUORO, and ARRT licensure, as well as BLS/CPR certification.
  • Proficient in casting/splinting techniques using plaster or fiberglass as ordered by the doctor.
  • Ability to build and maintain good rapport with nurses and doctors, contributing to the overall OIC team and providing patients with the best care from start to finish.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in radiology from an accredited JCERT program required.
  • Two or more years of experience in a clinical care setting.
  • Must have current CRT, CRT FLUORO, ARRT licensure, and BLS/CPR certification.
  • Must be familiar with state and federal regulations.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
