Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Southeast Community College. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of all electrical motors, machines, fixtures, and wiring or any electrical extensions as required by the college.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Perform complete maintenance and repairs on electrical appliances, including fans, buffers, drills, vacuum cleaners, extension cords, and disassemble them as needed.
- Perform general electrical maintenance and circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Inspect for problems, check with electronic motor or test light, order parts necessary to make repairs, and make repairs and reassemble.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components, troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices, and repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Minimum of four (4) years related work experience in the electrical field, or minimum of three (3) years' related work experience with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Technology.
- Currently hold an Electrical Journeyman's License.
- Experience in Commercial wiring.
- Experience operating a Building Automation System.
- Experience working from a blueprint start to finish of Construction Projects of various sizes.
