We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to join our team at Angels Homecare. As a key member of our care team, you will provide essential support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals, as outlined in the individual service plan.
- Encourage Independence: Allow and encourage residents to perform as much of their own care as possible, promoting their autonomy and dignity.
- Meal Services: Serve meals to residents in the dining room or apartments and may assist in preparing meals following pre-planned menus, ensuring a nutritious diet and adequate hydration.
- Leisure Activities: Initiate and participate in leisure activities provided for residents, as described in the activity calendar, and encourage socialization and participation in planned activities or programs to foster friendships among residents.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of resident care, including medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations, and report any changes in resident physical condition or behavior to the supervisor.
- Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping and adhering to cleaning schedules for resident laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and other areas.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance and follow proper procedures in emergency situations.
- Authorization to Work: Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Experience: Preferred 6 months to 1 year of experience, but not required.
- Vaccination Status: Vaccinated or unvaccinated are welcome, with proof required prior to client interaction.
- Availability: Must be willing to work day shifts, come and go, and take regular short hours.
