About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Senior Color Specialist to join our Global Apparel Materials Team (GLAM) in Beaverton, OR. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of color requirements and documentation for commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute color direction and ensure timely buy-ready commercialization.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will lead the design and development of tools and processes to support color execution for Nike Apparel.
  • You will facilitate lab dips for seasonal initiatives and identify key issues and challenges in color development.
  • With your excellent communication skills, you will collaborate with business teams involved in design, materials, product merchandising, product creation, material manufacturing, and product integrity.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Apparel, Textiles, Chemistry, or a related field (or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in color development or a related field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
  • Understanding of the application of color on materials and knowledge of apparel and material construction, including garment construction
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and Product Data Management systems
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to be a team player within a fast-paced environment
