Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Under the supervision of a physician, you will assist with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic studies, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, including surgical procedures, GYN exams, and diagnostic studies
  • Take vital signs, record patient information, and maintain accurate charts
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment, including EKG machines and ultrasound devices
  • Administer medications and perform lab tests, including venipuncture and urine specimen collection
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a safe and compassionate experience for all patients
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or certification by a recognized medical association (e.g., AMT, AAMA, NHA, NAHP) within 12 months of hire
  • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire
  • 6 months of medical assistant experience or completion of a medical assistant externship
