Job Summary:

AmeriPro EMS LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT with our company, you will be responsible for providing patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and maintaining ambulance equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide patient care according to company protocols and medical director guidelines.
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are clean and in proper working condition, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Prepare and complete reports, including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs.
  • Adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • State-specific Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing/current NREMT certification if applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Valid state-specific driver's license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS:100; IS:200; IS:800; IS:900).

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stand, or balance.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 180 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others.

Working Environment:

  • Due to the nature of EMS care, employees may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, psychological stressors, diseases, and other illnesses.
  • Frequent interruptions, work pressure, difficult personalities, and irregularities in work schedule are expected.
  • Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines while performing the duties of this job.
