Customer Service Representative for Seasonal Sales

Working under direct guidance and supervision, the Seasonal Sales Associate supports the store team on a short-term basis by consistently delivering outstanding guest service experiences in a sales culture that utilizes elements of GameStop's buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide best-in-class customer service by promptly greeting guests, assisting them with their video gaming needs, recommending additional items as appropriate, applying all selling behaviors during every transaction, and expressing gratitude to every guest for choosing GameStop.
  2. Support overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and actively contribute to all store sales initiatives throughout the holiday season.
  3. Maintain store appearance by collaborating with the store team to ensure that all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
  4. Assist with merchandise display by stocking and restocking merchandise on shelves and fixtures, as well as transferring products from the stock room to the front of the store, ensuring that all products are well-presented, organized, and alphabetized on the selling floor.
  5. Meet sales goals by assisting the store team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
  6. Address guest questions and concerns promptly, effectively, and courteously, and escalate customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner to a store keyholder.
  7. Ensure effective inventory control and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams and adherence to safety best practices.
Qualifications
  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  3. Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

  1. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  2. Ability to follow instructions presented in written, oral, and diagram form.
  3. Possess an outgoing and friendly personality with strong guest service skills.
  4. Provide genuine and friendly assistance to every guest during every visit.
  5. Demonstrate clear verbal communication and listening skills using spoken and written English; bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills are preferred.
  6. Achieve objectives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  7. Work both independently and within a team to perform all tasks as assigned.
  8. Meet associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming requirements.
  9. Be able to stand and move throughout the store unassisted to provide guest service or perform tasks in any part of the store for at least 8 hours per day.
  10. Be capable of bending, stooping, reaching with arms/hands, climbing ladders, and independently lifting merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs. from ground level to a minimum height of 4 feet.
  11. Possess reliability and trustworthiness.

Estimated salary: $13.25 - $13.25 hourly
