Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience. Our total rewards package includes benefits such as 100% paid medical premiums, generous time off, and a retirement/pension plan.

Job Description

As a Cardiology Clinic Nurse Specialist, you will function as a member of a collaborative interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive care to patients and families with complex healthcare needs. You will aim to provide care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.
  • Adheres to broad scope of practice as established by the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Ensures the efficient operation of the clinic or unit by proper scheduling and planning for optimum use of staff and resources, maintenance of stock and supplies, and efficient and safe use of equipment.
  • Uses systematic approach to provide nursing care to patients and families/populations by performing focused and comprehensive assessments through subjective and evidence-based objective data.
  • Prioritizes, synthesizes, and documents assessments and nursing plan of care using critical thinking and judgment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Current state of Texas Registered Nurse licensure is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also necessary. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school with one year of nursing experience, or an Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school with three years of nursing experience, or a Nursing Diploma (3-year program) and two years of nursing experience, is required.

Physical Requirements

This role requires occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 20 pounds of force, and constant exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
