Electronics Test Equipment Specialist

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electronics Technician to contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing test equipment at Gigafactory 2 in Buffalo, NY. This individual will aid Test Engineers in the improvement, optimization, and maintenance of test equipment for the Super Charging and Residential Energy lines that operate within the factory.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Test Engineers to improve and optimize test equipment, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test equipment issues, utilizing expertise in electronics and electrical systems.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to validate correct measurement performance of test equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in design reviews for manufacturing test equipment, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a hands-on Electronics Technician.
- Proficiency in National Instruments TestStand/LabVIEW, Python, and Golang, as well as experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, power analyzers, I/O, and electrical loads.
- Experience with automatic factory test equipment and common communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, GPIB, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to learn data analytics and database queries using MySQL, as well as familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, and SolidWorks.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
