Job Summary

A Marketing Manager position is available at International Flavors and Fragrances, a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition. This New York-based role offers a collaborative work environment, experience in a fast-paced industry, and the opportunity to create work for both new and established brands.

The position will be located in our corporate headquarters in New York City, and this role will have a hybrid schedule. We are looking for a teammate to be responsible for the marketing strategy of a growing Fine Fragrance category.

The candidate will drive IFF business growth by building differentiating customer value propositions for regional and global customers, tapping into customer growth opportunities.

Be recognized as a key strategic business partner by delivering actionable insights and impactful presentations aimed at capturing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive white space analysis and identify actionable insights and generate business opportunities with differentiating customer value propositions.
  • Define and build inspirational and impactful client presentations, organize workshops and inspirational events translating into customer brand implications and/or business opportunities.
  • Generate new business opportunities by building differentiating value propositions for an IFF product offering targeting a specific customer/brand/region.
  • Define and execute marketing strategy for Fine Fragrance categories aligned with account or regional commercial strategy.
  • Drive collaboration with internal creative areas, building strong fragrance storytelling, concepts deeply rooted with consumer insights data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably with knowledge of the Beauty and Fine Fragrance Industry and willing to learn a fast-paced growing category.
  • Data-focused curiosity to liaise with Consumer Insights partner.
  • Ability to extract insights from Market potentials & size data to generate compelling reports.
  • Market product acumen & branding understanding to articulate value proposition.
  • Strong presentation and writing skills and ability to effectively communicate fragrance product development, concepts, and technical projects.
  • Graphic Skills preferred for compelling visual presentations.
  • Knowledge on Project Management understanding to lead projects.
  • Willing to learn Olfactive skills thru proprietary olfactive learning.

Proven ability to work independently and on a team, juggle multiple priorities, and complete responsibilities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.

Proficient in operating Microsoft environment programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and interested in developing creative skills to manage other visual software and apps.

Creativity and Passion for fragrances and consumers with strong interest in product, concept, olfactive development.

Preferred: Minimum 4-5 years of Fragrance Industry experience in Marketing or internal relevant experience or marketing experience in adjacent industries (preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients) or in B2B Marketing.

Minimum - 5 years of B2C or Direct to consumer Branding/Marketing knowledge in an international environment.

Compensation ($102,000 - $120,000) is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
